Information
The Ministry of Communications (previously Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications) EUR site was inaugurated in 1976. The architectonic complex is articulated in more blocks, internally connected between them and placed on three plots of land. All structures are made of reinforced concrete, except that of the tower building with star-shaped plan, which is made of steel, strengthened with a central core of reinforced concrete. The clayey ground and the presence of water tables made the construction of very deep foundations necessary (over 25m). The tower building is also the seat of Italian Posts and Telecommunications.
